Rosenaharley Laughris Bred in England he has spent part of his life on the Isle of Man travelling to England to compete. He has also stood in Ireland where he was very popular and has been at Glenwood stud since them. He is from one of the most prolific Connemara bloodlines and is a talented pony in more than one sphere as he is also a registered elementary dressage pony.

• 2001 Reserve for the Sheila Inderwick Dressage Trophy and 3rd in the Seloc Karisma Trophy – junior rider 16 years and under

At the BD’s under 21 Championship incorporating the Sheepgate Dressage Derby and Young Rider Festival he was 2nd, 5th and 7th in the International Challenge, he has high percentages and was judged by two of the top dressage judges in the country.
He has impressed all by his outstanding temperament and behaviour. His fertility is very good both natural and AI.

Atlantic Swirl needs no introduction as one of the most outstanding Connemara stallions. He has produced so many winners they are to numerous to mention, also he has received many awards and below are just a few of them.

• He won the Parry Trophy 4 times 1992/93, 1993/94, 1995/96 and 1997/98 for the living stallion with the highest progeny points
• He was Reserve for the Parry Trophy in 1994/5, 1999/2000 and 2000/2001
• 1997 Winner of In Hand Progeny Premium
• The only Connemara stallion to have sired five Olympia Finalists including two Champions
• 2002 3rd in the Stallion Ratings for the Performance Award Scheme

Rosenaharley Laurin again needing no introduction as being one of the most special Connemara mares.

• 1974 2nd at BCPS Breed Show as a yearling
• 1976 Won three year old class at the Breed Show and was Supreme Champion
• 1978 and 1979 Won her class at the Breed Show with foal at foot and was Supreme Champion
• Won every time at Breed Show except as yearling
• 1980 Champion at Olympia
• 1984-96 Awarded a Super Premium
• 1981 Reserve Champion at Olympia
• 2001 Reserve for the Carlingford Trophy which is for the living mare with the highest progeny points
• Ridden for two seasons and was Champion every time out except twice. She was only beaten by two ponies in her life under saddle.

Looking at his pedigree there are also more very good ponies Rosenaharley Cormac winner of ridden and in hand premium and also super premium. Leam Laurella Winner of premium. The fugitive who won the stallion class at Clifden as two year old.

Laughris has three full sisters: Laura Beth who in 1998 won Dublin Show in-hand and was 2nd ridden and now has too many to mention here.

Laura Amy who in 2002 won the junior Ridden Championship at the NPS Show’ qualified for Olympia, RIHS and HOYS. 1st at BSPS Area 15A, 2nd an Royal Windsor, 2nd NPS Area 15, 1st Olympia Area 20, 1st and Reserve Champion Royal of England, 4th RIHS, 1st NPS Summer Championships, 1st Romsey and in 2004 was 3rd at HOYS.

Laura Peg who qualified for Olympia twice. Greyswood Village Sealark was also by Atlantic Swirl, she was 2nd at the Breed Show in 1998 and Champion Connemara at the Linnels in 2002 and 2004, and reserve Champion at Border Union in 2004. She has two daughters resident at Glenwood one of which won the Heritage this year as a four year old first time out.

In his short time in Ireland Laughris bred a winning foal and has had two prize winners at Clifden and two graded stallion sons. The 2005 Champion Connemara at Dublin Eastlands Burniebrae owned by John and Diana Staveley has bred a filly foal in 2006 by him which was champion foal at Osbaldeston being the only filly in the class. She bred a colt foal to him in 2007 and is in foal to him again, she conceived first time to him on all three occasions by AI. Pictures below
