BEF Futurity Grading at Myerscough

Congratulations to Sue Denwick and Bill Essen who's Dance in the Dark yearling Dancing Bluefield Velvet finished 6th at the Bramham  'Trot 2 EVENT HORSE BREEDING & YOUNG STOCK CLASSES 2010', she also scored the overall highest score of 8.29 for eventing at the BEF Futurity grading at Myerscough EC

Richmond Equestrian Centre Aug 2010

Congratulations to Anne Hargreaves, who's yearling Lowlands Wise Choice, by Wise Guy R out of Free Spirit gained High First Permium in Show Jumping at the Baileys Horse Feeds/BEF Futurity Evaluation with a mark of 8.5 overall (being 5th in all Futurity marks in the uk) and Anne Johnson who's 2 year old by Wise Guy R gained a 2nd premium for eventing.

Panama has continued his successful showing career winning the 2 year old class at the Scottish Connemara  Group show in July

Glenwood Stud Resident Mare : Eastlands Wild Orchid

Has had a very successful showing year, winning the 3 year old class at the Scottish Connemara Group Show in July and then going on to be Purebred Youngstock Champion and Reserve Purebred Champion at the same show. Following this she won the 3 year old class at the Linnels Native Pony show and then was 2nd in a large class at the Connemara Northern Breed Show.

Many Congratulations to 13 year old Rosie Filmer and Glenwood Stud Dun in the Sun (Minsmere Sunseeker X Hookey Regina) after 4 weeks of ownership Rosie and Dunny (now known as D'arcy) went on thier first outing to Manor Farm Equestrian Centre and won the P(UK) Kingsford Confined novice M&M pony, P(UK) Dalkeith Young riders M&M ridden (large breeds) and the P(UK) Kingsford M&M riden pony of the year (large)- well done them.

We wish Rosie and D'arcy lots and lots of luck for the future - (watch this space) as well as his showing career D'arcy is going to have fun being a pony club pony as well.

D'arcy has a full sister at Glenwood and we hope when old enough she will follow in big brothers footsteps.

 Another Knight by Knightley Park owned by Enid Cawthorn has had a very successful 2009 year with 2nds at the following shows

Glenwoodstud Dun in the Sun

Glenwood stud had a good day at the NPS Northern show, Stanley Grange Panama won his class for yearling 2 and 3 year old and took the championship, winning the Siobhan Trophy for the best Connemara. Glenwoodstud Dun in the Sun (oppostie) was second in his in hand class

Congratulations also to Margaret Traves and her yearling filly Oyster Rose out of Oyster Lady by Rosenaharley Laughris for her 3 wins at Border Union and her 2 wins and 2 Championships at NPS Show on August 31st

Minsmere Sunseeker is now 11th out of 82 stallions in the stallion ratings in Hand for the Connemara Society

Congratulations to Peter Ferguson whose 3 year old 15hh Working Hunter Pony Sirens Song,  out of a TB mare by Rosenaharley Laughris has won the Championship at Peebles and Central & West Fife Shows and has just been Supreme Champion at Blair Castle and qualified for Malvern.


Richmond Equestrian Centre 11-Aug-2009

At the British Equestrian Federation Futurity a colt foal by Santro's Song out of Descant owned by Mrs Morag Valally received a 1st premium in Show jumping gaining one of the top marks of the day and also received a 2nd premium for dressage

Congratulations also to Mrs. A. Johnson, who was awarded a 2nd premium in the Eventing with her yearling by Wise Guy.

Stanley Grange Panama

Glenwood Stud had another good day with Stanley Grange Panama (a yearling colt) owned by Glenwood Stud winning the  yearling 2 and 3 year old class then going on to become Reserve Champion

Glenwoodstud Dun in the Sun won the ridden class, was the highest placed gelding and qualified for the Rosemeen Championship at the 2010 Annual Breed Show at Moreton Morrell

 

Eastlands Wild Orchid  was 3rd in the yearling 2 and 3 year old class

Glenwood Stud had a very succsesful outing :

Stanley Grange Panama (a yearling colt) won the  yearling class then went on to become reserve youngstock champion and qualifying for the Tam-O-Shanter Championships at the 2010 Annual Breed Show at Moreton Morrell

Congratulation to Mr & Mrs J Staveley who with their pure bred three year old filly Eastlands Mossibrae, by Rosenaharley Laughris was the youngstock championship.   Eastlands Masiebrae owned by Mrs Nutter, out of Eastlands Burniebrae was reserve mature pony.


Congratulations must also go to Mrs. E. Lauder winning the 2 year old class with Cragsyde Cornelian who is by Rosenaharley Laughris

Congratulations to Mr & Mrs J Staveley with Eastlands Maisebrae by Rosenaharley Laughris who was 2nd in the Mixed Mountain and Moorland class

 

Other Sucesses

Blakestones Dior (property of Mr C Nicholson and Mr S  Ness) ex Carlton Atlanta, in 2007 was 1st & Champion Northumberland County Show,3rd Bramham Sports Horse, 1st &Champion  Sports Horse and 2nd Hunter North Yorks Country Show, 1st & Champion Riding Horse at Northern Horse Show and 1st Hunter Breeding at the Great Yorkshire Show shown as a yearling.

In 2008 she was 1st & Champion 2  year old hunter @ Hambledon and the next day was 1st and Champion @ Northumberland County show, and then Champion Sports Horse @ The British Sports Horse Show near Thursk and recently won the 2 year old Sports Horse  class @Wetherby (Northern Horse Show). Blakestones Dior now has a full brother born recently which as all the attributes of his sister and we wish them all well for the future.

In 2009 her top wins were Champion Riding Horse at the Northern Horse Show and Supreme Youngstock Champion, Champion Sports Horse at North Yorks County and Reserve Supreme Champion She also gained 3rd at Bramham, Yorkshire and Hambleton.

 

In 2008 Lowfield Riverdance by Catherston Dance in the Dark owned by Greer Smith winner of the yearling Sports Horse at the Northern Horse Show (Wetherby) and then went on to take Reserve Champion

Also in 2008 Margaret Traves and her mare Oyster Lady won the Riding Horse Champion Class as did her foal by Rosenaharley Laughris win the foal class at Wetherby Northern Horse Show. Oyster Lady went on to be  Reserve Champion. - She is in foal again to Rosenaharley Laughris

Congratulations to John and Dianna  Staveley of Eastlands Stud with their mare Burniebrae one of the top mares in the UK who has wins to numerous to mention and who won the Royal Highland 2008, and took the main championship. Burnieb rae has a two year old, a yearling and a stunning foal at foot by Rosenaharley Laughris.

In 2008 Glenwood stud had a successful day at the Scottish Connemara show with Glenwoodstud Lovebird 2nd in joint two and three year old class and reserve champion of  yearling two and three year olds and Glenwoodstud Dun in the Sun, who was 2nd intermediate Ridden and 2nd in-hand four year old and over

Also congratulations to Mrs E Lauder for winning the yearling class with Cragsyde Cornelian By Rosenaharley Laughris out of Cheviot Tamarisk.
