Sandros Whisker

Sandros Whisker
Sandros Whisker - A nine year old, was bought for £27.000 from Paul Schockemohle as an unbroken two year old, seen loose jumping. He was then broken and graded with the Anglo European Stud Book, and started his show jumping career, in a short time becoming Grade A. In 2001 he was accredited onto the BSJA Stallions Silver Performance List, which is based on their own Grade A performance winnings.
Eatricia - Holstein/TB from exceptional Jumping and Dressage lines, her sire line is impeccable tracing to the great mare Morgenster – granddam of Nimmedor. She was imported into this country after breeding in Holland and is registered with the Anglo European Studbook. Her father Tolbert competed to a high level showjumping and sired many good jumping horses including Malesan Bolando, Dolcevita and Broadway. He has also had influence in dressage horses i.e. Idool (Anky Van Grunsven,) and Facet
(Ellen Bontje) are both descendants of a daughter of Tolbert. Erdball sire of Tolbert is the sire of Apollo (Nick Skelton) and Just Malone (Helena Dickinson.)
Sandro - Sandro was exported to Denmark as a young horse to stand at stud. In 1985 he returned to Germany and won over 50,000 DM in prize money in advanced level show jumping ridden by Franke Sloothaak (with winnings of over 30,000 DM internationally), during this time he combined his busy competition schedule with his stud duties at the Schockemohle Stables in Calveslage.
Sandro is a prolific stallion producer, to date having presented 16 graded and approved stallions including Sandro Song the champion young Stallion of Oldenburg l990 and main premium of 1992. A remarkable feature of his sons is that they consistently gain good results at the stallion performance tests. Sandro caused a stir at the Federal Championships in Verden in 1990 when his son Subway achieved a high placing in the conformation show class. Later Subway was sold through 1990 Velhta Autumn sale to the dressage stables of M Otto-Crepin. In 1992 eight progeny qualified for the Federal Championships in Verden, several of whom were placed in the finals (Sandon, Sir Max, Sancerre, Sadenio, Salido). In the FN Yearbook Breeding of 1992 he is placed third of his age class as a sire of Show Jumpers. He also produced Sandros Hit at present a very popular Dressage Stallion whose son Sensation made £53,000 at the Addington Dressage Sale and foal Sabrina who made £8,000.

Srping Song by Santro's Songat BEF FuturitySacremento Song xx. Stood for seven seasons as a private Stallion in Holstein. Unfortunately it now appears he was not used often enough for breeding since today it is obvious that he must be viewed as one of the best sires of show jumping in Holstein since the war. In spite of the limited number of offspring, forty show jumpers were successful to the highest classes. Among them such exceptional horses such as:
Societe (D Hafmeister – Nelson Pessoa), Sansiro (G.Mouler -winnings of over 30,000 DM), and of course Sandro (Franke Sloothaak – winnings of over 50,000 DM to 1989) The owner of the world record in jumping Leonardo (1991 in Paris over 2.35 m) carries Sacrementos Song as his dam’s sire.
