EASTLANDS HOLLYBRAE
Was born in 2008 and was the third foal born by Rosenaharley Laughris and Eastlands Burniebrae. He came to Glenwood as a yearling in 2009 and went forward for his colt inspection in April 2011 and passed with a very good Class 1. His bloodlines are irreplaceable and he has the most lovely temperament and movement. His inspection marks stated 66 out of 70 for his type and temperament this is a very promising start to his career.
In 2011 being his first season he was champion Connemara in hand and reserve champion overall at Linnels. Then going to Osbaldeston Northern Breed Show he was second in the stallion class, so already proving himself in the ring, He is currently being broken and enjoying his work Hollybrae certainly has a lot to offer the Connemara breed and as you will see from his pedigree he is certainly bred in the purple, having Bardsey Trinket as grandam on his dam’s side and Rosenaharley Laurin who has the bloodlines of this years HOYS winner on his sire’s side. Resident stallion at Glenwood needs no introduction. Eastlands Burniebrae
EASTLANDS BURNIEBRAE (In-hand Premium) is certainly with out doubt one of the top Connemara mares in the U.K. and Ireland. Her wins are impossible to list fully here but she was champion at The Royal Dublin, Royal Highland Royal Show, Northern Connemara Show, Dumfries Agricultural Show, and winner at the Great Yorkshire, Dublin, and Clifden are a few. Laughris and Burnie have now between them produced five foals four of which by AI and all conceived first time.
The first Eastlands Maisebrae was champion foal at Osbaldeston at three in 2009 was second at the Royal Highland show, Scottish Junior Champion and Champion at the breed show and in 2010 was supreme champion at Linnels Show. The second Eastlands Harleybrae is a class one stallion, the third being Hollybrae and then Lymiebrae who has already won in the ring and then recently born Katiebrae, who has already proved herself in the ring with her mother winning at a premium show in Ireland, also having higher marks than her Dam proving the match with Rosenaharley Laughris works well.
ROSENAHARLEY LAURIN (Super Premium) needs no introduction as being one of the most special ever Connemara mares Her wins are again too numerous to mention but Supreme Champion at Breed Show, Champion and then Reserve Champion at Olympia, winner of Carlingford Trophy which is for the living mare with the highest progeny points, and was only beaten by two ponies in her life under saddle. Laurin & Swirl were both extremely famous Connemaras.
BARDSEY TRINKET Full sister to Bardsey Zodiac a most famous stallion who competed at a high level dressage also the Grandsire of the famous Skellorn Harrison. Trinket bred sixteen foals some of which are as follows; Eastlands Lucy Locket– won at Breed Show; Eastlands Glendearg– American Connemara Pony of the Year, selected for Canadian Junior Dressage team; Eastlands Burniebrae– as above; Eastlands Micklebrae– won at RIHS, Eastlands Dunielle– Champ Royal Highland, winner at Royal Dublin; Eastlands Dunrose– Champion BCPS Breed Show; Eastlands Flash Favour– Junior Champ Northern Connemara Show, res. Junior Breed Show & Champ Riding Club; Eastlands Black Watch– Picton Qualifier & Champ Riding Club Dressage; Eastlands Ashiebrae– Stallion in Ireland; Eastlands Rashiebrae– Scottish Sp. Champ 2011, Champ M&M Gt Yorkshire & final six in Cuddy there. Eastlands Tushiebrae– Res Champ Kinross 2011.
ATLANTIC SWIRL (In hand Progeny Premium) was one of the most outstanding connemara stallions, having produced so many winners they are impossible to mention. He won the Parry Trophy for the living stallion with the highest progeny points, was the only connemara stallion to have sired five Olympia Finalists including two champions.
