Rosenaharley Laughris - Eastlands Burniebrae

HWSS tested negative

Eastlands Hollybrae was the third foal born by Rosenaharley Laughris and Eastlands Burniebrae who together from 5 foals have produced two Class 1 Stallion sons & one Class 1 Grandson. His bloodlines are amazing being the son of Rosenaharley Laughris and Eastlands Burniebrae and looking at his pedigree it can be seen on both sides he is from Premium and Super Premium awarded Connemaras.
He came to Glenwood as a yearling & went forward for his colt inspection as a 3 year old & passed with a very good Class 1. His bloodlines are irreplaceable take a look at both sides of his pedigree to see the Premiums listed. He has the most amazing temperament & lovely movement & being true to type his amount of bone is outstanding. His inspection marks stated 66 out of 70 for his type & temperament.
Hollybrae has been lightly shown due to stud commitments but some of his winnings are below:
In 2011 being his first season he was Champion Connemara in hand & Reserve Champion overall at Linnels. Then going to Osbaldeston Northern Breed Show he was second in the stallion class, so proving himself in the ring. He was broken in 2012 qualified for the Picton & was 2nd in a mixed class, so proving himself under saddle. In 2014 at the Northern Connemara Show at Richmond he won the stallion class & was Champion Adult In Hand. At the North East Connemara Show in 2016 he was 1st in the Stallion Class, & Adult Pure Bred In Hand Champion, Overall Pure Bred In Hand Champion & Supreme Champion, where he also qualified for the NPS Summer Championships, Equifest, TSR & NCPA Pony of the Year. .
Hollybrae certainly has a lot to offer the Connemara breed & as you will see from his pedigree he is certainly bred in the purple, having Bardsey Trinket as Grandam on his dam’s side & Rosenaharley Laurin who has the bloodlines of 2012 HOYS winner on his Sire’s side. Hollybrae has proved himself to be extremely fertile both AI & natural covering, has been tested negative for HWSS. This stallion has now produced many youngsters who have already proved themselves in the show ring by winning classes, being Champion & Supreme.
His stock are proving to be of good quality. He is a perfect gentleman in every way. In 2015 his son Thomas’s Prospect, was Supreme Champion at Bewdley Show in the Midlands at 7 weeks old, he then ended his first year showing by being Champion Foal at Addington.
In 2016 his full brother, New Moonlight’s Prospect was Youngstock winner at Stourport & Hunter Pony Winner at NCPA Myerscough.
Both Thomas’s Propsect and Monlight Prospect have gone on to win many more Championships and Supremes.
Also Glenwoodstud Pendula Rose out of Senruf Primula went to her first show & at 5 months was 2nd Large M&M foals & 1st bred by exhibitor. The second time she was shown at the Scottish Connemara Show, won the 2 year old class & then took Champion Youngstock. We feel this young filly has a great future.

He was also at stud in Ireland where he was very popular and left behind Clifden winners & a Class 1 Stallion, from which he now has a Class 1 Stallion in America. He had the most prolific Connemara bloodlines and was a talented pony in more than one sphere as he was a Registered Elementary Dressage pony & Working Hunter Pony and had four Class 1 Stallion sons.

Looking at his pedigree there are also more very good ponies. Rosenaharley Cormac winner of Ridden and In Hand Premium and also Super Premium. Leam Laurella Winner of Premium. The Fugitive who won the stallion class at Clifden as a two year old.
Laughris has three full sisters: Laura Beth won Dublin Show In Hand and was 2nd Ridden and now has too many to mention here. She has also produced a stallion son.
Laura Amy won the junior Ridden Champion at the NPS Show’ qualified for Olympia, RIHS and HOYS. 1st at BSPS Area 15A, 2nd and Royal Windsor, 2nd NPS Area 15, 1st Olympia Area 20, 1st and Reserve Champion Royal of England, 4th RIHS, 1st NPS Summer Championships, 1st Romsey and in 2004 was 3rd at HOYS. She has a daughter Glenwoodstud Skyline resident at Glenwood by Minsmere Sunseeker, who won the Heritage as a 4 year old first time out and has now bred two beautiful fillies by Laughris & Panama.
Laughris was certainly a true sports pony, with a super temperament. To his credit in 2012 he was awarded his Progeny Premium which was well deserved.
Laughris has prominent winners all over the UK including a 3 year old Hunter Pony who won the Championship at Peebles, Central and West Fife and Blair where she took Supreme, also Margaret Traves yearling Oyster Rose out of Oyster Lady had three wins at the Border Union and two Championships at the NPS Area 4 show.
Eastlands Burniebrae (In-hand Premium) is certainly without doubt one of the top Connemara mares in the U.K. and Ireland. Her wins are impossible to list fully here but she was Champion at The Royal Dublin, Royal Highland Royal Show, Northern Connemara Show, Dumfries Agricultural Show, and winner at the Great Yorkshire, Dublin, and Clifden are a few. Laughris and Burnie have now between them produced six foals; four of which by AI and all conceived first time. The first Eastlands Mossiebrae was Champion foal at Osbaldeston at three in 2009 was second at the Royal Highland show, Scottish Junior Champion and Champion at the Breed Show and in 2010 was Supreme Champion at Linnels Show. The second Eastlands Harleybrae is a Class 1 Stallion, the third being Hollybrae and then Lymiebrae who has passed as a Class 1 mare and has already won in the ring. Then recently born Katiebrae, who has already proved herself in the ring at the Royal Highland & the Great Yorkshire. She competed with her mother winning at the All Ireland Broodmare Championships. Katiebrae as a yearling remained unbeaten in three outings, being Reserve Champion at the Royal Highland. The above proves that Burniebrae and Laughris match well to produce such good stock.
