Rosenaharley Laughris the legend!

On the 15th July at the BCPS Breed Show young Leyla Wheelwright & her Connemara gelding Glenwood Stud Accappella (Rosenaharley Laughris – Eastlands Wild Rose) won the junior WHP then was 2nd in the novice! Leyla’s mum Laura Wheelwright described them as both beautiful! Val Williams describes Oscar as he is fondly known at home, is proving himself as real Performance Pony, following in his Sires hoof steps. The day after, 16th July young rider Leyla Wheelwright & her Connemara gelding Glenwood Stud Accappella won their WHP classes & then went Champion! What an amazing weekend for the young pair!

What a week for Leyla Wheelwright & Glenwood Stud Accappella who competed in their first dressage only competition yesterday at Solihull Summer Dressage Series, where they won the Prelim 13 & came 2nd in the Prelim 12. Glenwood Stud Accappella is a true Performance Pony!!

On 16th July Babycham (Rosenaharley Laughris – Princess Grace) known as Pebbles, was 3rd in her class with her young handler/rider Kirsten Banks. Judith Banks her mother described Pebbles as a superstar pony today!

Also on the 16th July in Scotland this time Glenwood Stud Royal Sovereign (Rosenaharley Laughris – Princess Grace) took part in his first Arena Eventing. His owner & rider Sarah Allan said “my awesome boy proved yet again he can turn his hoof to anything, fantastic dressage, he flew over a very decent scary course! Jumped perfectly unfortunately the rider was a bit rubbish for a pole down but totally rider error! Way more fun than showing!! Best pony in the whole world!!!”

Rosenaharley Laughris may no longer be with us, but his progeny are truly proving what a legend of a Connemara Stallion he was! For those of you who don’t know who Rosenaharley Laughris was here is a little bit of background about him.

Rosenaharley Laughris was sired by Atlantic Swirl (In-Hand Progeny Premium) & his Dam was Rosenaharley Laurin (Super Premium). He spent part of his early life on the Isle of Man travelling to England to compete. He was also at stud in Ireland where he was very popular & left behind Clifden winners & a Class 1 Stallion, from which he now has a Class 1 Stallion in America (Blue Rock Riley). He had the most prolific Connemara bloodlines & was a talented pony in more than one sphere as he was a Registered Elementary Dressage pony & Working Hunter Pony & has left his legacy in his four Class 1 Stallion sons.
