Glenwood Stud Show Team success across the UK over the last month

It was a Welsh Cob day for us at this year’s The Great Yorkshire Show – England’s Premier Agricultural Event. Abergavenny Welsh Comet paraded around the Great Yorkshire Show with pose & power as he always does. We were thrilled with his 3rd in a very strong class of Welsh Section D stallions, much older in years & experienced than him.

Abergavenny Mighty Me (Donys Importance - Donys Llawen) as ever is not one to be out done by his older & bigger friend, he came in a respectable 6th place, which we were thrilled with! He is only a yearling & still has much to learn, but he flew the flag for Glenwood Stud as he behaved beautifully!

On Tuesday we were back on the road again this time with an old face in Mighty Me (Whalton Caruso – Whalton Mayfly). Mighty Me moved to The Aran Islands, off the west coast of Ireland, to live with Moss & Mary Joyce a little over two years ago, so it was lovely to have him back here at Glenwood for the week. Alongside Mighty Me in the wagon, we also took Abergavenny Welsh Comet. Both boys behaved impeccably well throughout the day.

Mighty Me came in 2nd in the Show Hunter Pony (SHP) stallion class & also 2nd in the Mountain & Moorland (M&M) stallion class. Abergavenny Welsh Comet came in 1st place in the Stallion Welsh Section C & D class & went on to be Reserve Champion Welsh Section C & D. It was a long day, but a great time was had by both horses & humans alike!
